Spanning a 25 year career in consulting engineering, Barry’s personal portfolio is enviable. He has worked alongside leading international architects, including Foster and Partners, Richard Rogers Partnership, KPF and BDP on world class projects.
Projects include the remarkable Tower Bridge House, 10 Gresham Street and HM Treasury in London. In Australia, The Advanced Technology Centre for Melbourne’s Swinburne University, Manningham Council Civic Centre, Doncaster and 690 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne are but just a few examples.
Barry’s extensive skill set and experience have been nurtured and developed by working all facets of the engineering consultancy practice. Prior to setting up FORM Structures he spent 12 years in a lead role with Waterman Group, a major International Consulting Engineering firm, directing projects in the residential, education, commercial and retail sector.
His philosophy is one of working to achieve quality while ensuring creativity and simplicity.
Mark Barrie is a Director of FORM Engineers managing the Building Services section.
He is a chartered engineer with extensive international experience in building services consultancy over a 25 year career working on leading sustainable design projects in the UK, Denmark and throughout Australia.
Projects include the prestigious Danish Opera House and Syddansk University in Denmark, Gateshead Quay and National Museum, Liverpool in the UK and numerous project in Melbourne and Australia.
Mark is a multi-discipline project leader specialising in passive building design, low carbon infrastructure, anaerobic digestion and urban master planning. His innovative and inspired approach to design means that each project is tailored to best suit the scale, budget and functionality of the construction and the client.
